Co-author with Mike Eruzione of the national bestseller "The Making of a Miracle - the Untold Story of the Captain of the 1980 Gold-Medal Winning U.S. Olympic Hockey Team," published in 2020 by HarperCollins. I'm a lifelong hockey player and a youth hockey coach, and have written dozens of hockey stories for the New York Times, USA Hockey Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal. Over the course of my career, I have written more than 450 by-lined articles for the New York Times, and more than 800 for the Wall Street Journal. As WSJ Detroit bureau chief, I edited hundreds of stories, and coached, managed, and trained a team of seven reporters while overseeing the paper's global automotive coverage.
