I take the interview out of the chair and into the places where the real story is happening. I’m journalist Noël Burgess. In On Our Way, I spend time with chefs, winemakers, distillers, Formula 1 insiders, hoteliers and others working across food, wine, spirits, travel, hospitality, sports and culture. That could put me in a kitchen during service one week, the F1 paddock the next, then a vineyard, distillery or behind the scenes of a hotel. That’s where the résumé stops being useful. I’m looking at the pressure, ambition, risks, relationships and decisions that shaped the person, and what becomes clear only when you spend real time in their world.
