Claim your profileAfter graduating with a degree in Exercise Physiology, with the intent of continuing on to medical school, I moved to Birmingham, Alabama for a brief stint working under arguably the most notable doctor in all of Sports Medicine. It didn't take long for me to realize this wasn't the career path for me. A quick pivot and a cold-call to the Southern Living Test Kitchen Director landed me an unlikely internship. Over 6 years working in the Meredith Food Studios, I tested and developed more than 2500 recipes for over 15 nationally distributed magazine brands including Food & Wine, Real Simple, Eating Well, Southern Living and People, created video content (with a single video drawing over 2.75 million views) and food styled for print and digital platforms. I'm now the associate food editor for Food & Wine where I still work closely with test kitchen, as well as chefs, freelance recipe developers, and photography teams.
