Paige Harrison is the VP, News for Hearst Television. She was formally the News Director for WCVB Channel 5, Hearst Television's flagship station and Boston's ABC affiliate. Appointed News Director at Boston’s News Leader in January of 2017, Paige manages all operations of the news department including oversight of the more than 45 hours of newscasts produced weekly, breaking news, weather and sports, special coverage, 5 Investigates, NewsCenter 5 Primetime specials, and all of the station’s digital and social media news initiatives.An award-winning journalist, Paige has directed news operations for Hearst Television stations across the country for more than fifteen years. Under Paige’s leadership, WCVB NewsCenter 5 continues to be Boston’s dominant news leader and the community’s trusted choice for news and information. Before joining WCVB, Paige was the News Director at WPBF-TV, the Hearst-owned ABC affiliate in West Palm Beach, FL. Over the course of her distinguished career with Hearst Television, Paige worked in news management positions at WESH-TV in Orlando, FL, KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City, and WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, before becoming News Director at WPBF-TV.Born in Michigan, Paige was raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia and began her television career there as a producer and director. She has also worked in Toronto, Ottawa and Barrie, Ontario.
