Since 2010, Paris Close has held such roles as entertainment editor, culture editor, editor-in-chief, proofreader, and copy editor. An alum of Aquinas College, Paris holds a bachelor's degree in English literature, with an emphasis in writing and journalism. From 2016 to 2021, they served as founding editor and editor-in-chief of Paperback Paris, a book community-driven publisher of book reviews, original features, book lists, and interviews; collaborated and partnered with publishers like Penguin Random House, Hachette, Macmillan, HarperCollins and Simon & Schuster; and garnered a monthly audience of over 20,000 unique readers. They have published and edited more than 2,000 articles across various outlets, including Elite Daily, PopCrush, Billboard, iHeartRadio, Dotdash Meredith, and elsewhere. Today, Paris is a full-time copy editor.
