Claim your profileThe origins of my journalism career can be traced to a summer radio broadcasting course I took when I was a 10-year-old living in Bognor Regis, England. My seminal work in that class was a three-minute profile of one of the greats of English soccer, Matt Le Tissier, who played for the area's Premier League team, Southampton Football Club. That effort ended up running on one of the local radio stations, albeit in the early hours of the morning. But I was thrilled. To share my work with an audience was a magical, exhilarating experience for that 10-year-old. And I still feel the same way about journalism. Today, my focus is reporting on the Connecticut economy — including coverage of major companies based in the state. My overarching goal is to deliver and present news in a way that informs and helps readers to develop a strong understanding and interest in the issues that affect them and their communities.
