Claim your profileMy career began as coordinator of a public education program at the Montreal YWCA, which led to a position in public relations for a rehabilitation center. While raising my children in Knoxville, TN, I produced and hosted an interview show for the local public access television station.During my 17 years in Atlanta, GA,I worked as a management consultant and trainer for a small company, Project Assistant for a program to raise awareness of Braille literacy for the American Foundation for the Blind, Public Education Coordinator for the Center for the Visually Impaired, and Research Health Science Specialist at the Atlanta VA Medical Center.Following our move to New Bern in 2006, my husband and I co-owned a small automotive business for six years. During this time I became Staff Writer for The County Compass, a weekly publication out of Pamlico County in NC, and am currently expanding my writing for the newspaper to include travel articles.Writing and editing have been an integral part of everything I have done over the past 40 years. My work has included writing newsletters, articles, weekly bulletins, letters, web content, marketing materials and editing all of the above. My efforts are now focused on TwoWriteHands, a joint venture with my husband: writing quality web content that will enable professionals to take their businesses to a new and more profitable level. I will also create opportunities to write about my passion for travel. It's no exaggeration when I say that I grow more in love with this work every day!
