Sim has grown MediaConnect organically from a two-person operation to being one of the most innovative media intelligence companies in the world. Sim has demonstrated his strengths as a business leader in developing corporate and online strategies that result in disruptive and successful business models and processes. As an early achiever in business, Sim was twice a semi-finalist for career achievement in The Young Australian of the Year Awards during his publishing career working for global media organisation, IDG Communications. He left IDG Communications in 2000, where he founded MediaConnect Australia. Sim is an excellent communicator, whether it be in written form as a professional journalist, as a conference speaker or moderator or as an internal communicator and motivator. He has a strong history of mentoring employes and building high-achieving teams that are able to over-achieve on limited budgets. Sim has experience operating a business in both Australia and Asia, as a director of the Singapore-based MediaConnect Asia. He is also the founder of 1Eyed Eel, a social network for supporters of the Parramatta Eels NRL club, which he runs as a hobby but is now one of the largest Rugby League supporter site in the world.
