Having gained a BSc (Hons) in Multimedia Technology, I’ve spent the last 20+ years working across a range of business-to-business publications. My first role was as Editorial Assistant, from where I quickly progressed across a number of other titles to become Editor of Design Solutions (formerly OEM Design, which was established in 1971). For a number of years I edited both Design Solutions and Instrumentation, however since becoming a parent I went part-time, working three days a week, editing just Design Solutions. Last summer, I was also appointed Editor of Energy Management, a quarterly publication. In addition to editing - and designing the editorial pages - of both magazines, I also edit their websites and look after their social media accounts, ensuring industry is up to date with the latest news and technologies. Prior to university, I gained valuable experience at my parents’ electronic engineering company (which they established in 1970) during school holidays, and helped myself through the university years with a weekend job at the local Woolworths!
