As a reporter and writer he covered the companies and the technologies that created Silicon Valley - and gave birth to the modern age. As an editor, and later as business development manager, he created and launched a global network of online and print technology publications for readers in China, Asia, Japan and Europe that is still in operation. He recruited, hired, and trained the network's core of international correspondents and managed the network for ten years. He launched The Next Silicon Valley.com in 2009. The Next Silicon Valley celebrates and promotes the people, places, ideas, companies, and events that comprise the global innovation economy. Richard lives in Hudson, NY and is a volunteer for a number of local organiztions, including the Hudson food pantry, Olana, and the USS Slater.
