Claim your profileRobert D. Kaplan is a multi award-winning Video Editor / Producer with decades of experience in television news and sports. He has traveled throughout the United States and the world on assignments that have included presidential politics, 2 wars and 6 Olympic games. His work can currently be seen on CBS Mornings and the CBS Evening News with Norah O'Donnell. During his decades editing for NBC Nightly News (most recently with Lester Holt), Rob also served as a Digital Journalist for NBC, incorporating shooting, writing, producing and editing into content for broadcast, cable and the web. Rob has contributed to coverage, broadcasts and stories that have been awarded many industry honors including National News and Documentary Emmy awards, a Gracie, National Headliner awards, Sigma Delta Chi awards, National Sports Emmy awards, Edward R. Murrow awards, George Polk award and an Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University award. When not working, Rob enjoys camping, computers, fishing, frisbee, hiking, music, photography, poker and travel.
