With 30+ years in journalism, I have been contributed to top-tier outlets like The Guardian, New York Times, and Washington Post and worked with BBC Radio, PBS, and CBC. I have field-produced and reported on-camera for TV. I have taught writing and reported on meetings of business thought leaders in the UK. My work has spanned a wide array of topics, from global politics, investigative stories and corporate espionage to lifestyle features, book author profiles and movie reviews. I’ve served as of two US ‘super-stringers’ for Reuters, was the US stringer for The Johannesburg Star, contributed regularly to The Daily Express’ foreign desk and have provided in-depth analysis and features on climate and energy for specialised publications. From editing a Guardian (UK) book to being business editor at The Guardian online, I am also currently editing a fast-growing energy newsletter while overseeing a global team of eight stringers. I’ve had the privilege of reporting on pivotal issues such as white supremacy - a PBS Frontline documentary was based on my KKK work - and I’ve done copywriting for Apple Inc and press releases for non-profits and startups.
