Claim your profileRyan Zunner is a media professional with experience in radio broadcasting, TV news production, and public relations. Zunner attended Hilbert College in Hamburg, NY where he graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media & Communications.In addition to his studies, Zunner was also part of the Division III Men’s Lacrosse team, student newspaper, and campus radio station.During college, he worked part-time as a news reporter and on-air host for WBFO 88.7FM, an NPR-affiliate radio station in Buffalo, NY.There he was a co-recipient of a New York State Broadcasters Award of Excellence for a criminal justice story.Zunner's reporting on social justice protests in Buffalo also appeared on MSNBC and NPR.Shortly after graduation, he left journalism and got into public service as a Press Secretary in the New York State Senate.He returned to news in 2022 as a producer for ‘Your Morning Buffalo’ on Spectrum News One.Zunner was part of the production team nominated for a New York Emmy Award, in the category of “Best Morning Newscast - Medium/Small Markets” at the 66th Annual New York Emmy Awards.In June of 2023 he took his talents up north, taking over hosting/DJ duties of the morning show at Jukasa Radio 93.5 FM. Jukasa is an Indigenous non-profit broadcaster located on Six Nations of the Grand River Reserve in Southern Ontario.
