Outdoors and environment reporter for the Missoulian
I've worked for newspapers across Montana since 2015, focusing on the environment, outdoors recreation and natural resource policy. I've extensively covered Glacier National Park, the U.S. Forest Service, state politics and policy and science related to grizzly bears, wolves and industrial pollution. My current role is reporting on outdoors and the environment for western Montana's largest newspaper, the Missoulian. I've also previously worked for the Daily Inter Lake in Kalispell, the Billings Gazette and Lee Montana's state politics bureau in Helena. Past reporting experience also spans politics, criminal justice, breaking news and coverage of Indigenous communities in Montana. I also served as the national editor for the English-language Korea JoongAng Daily newspaper in Seoul, South Korea. bysamwilson.com
