I joined the Times in 2016 as its advertising reporter and most recently covered the retail industry. Previously, I was a senior business reporter at BuzzFeed News, where I wrote about retail. I was the first reporter on the site's business news team and won awards from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers and the Newswomen's Club of New York for my coverage. I was a reporter at Bloomberg News from 2009 to 2013, where I covered specialty retail, corporate credit, stocks, insurance companies, currencies and government bonds. My work was published online, in Businessweek and on the Bloomberg terminal. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill, where I double-majored in political science and journalism, with a concentration in business journalism.
