I've been a journalist for more than 14 years – and have worked in both print and digital newsrooms. I am currently the Executive Editor at The Quint, one of India's leading digital news organisations, where I am involved in setting editorial priorities, overseeing ground-breaking stories, allocating resources across various teams, and managing the day-to-day operations. I also collaborate with the marketing, audience engagement, and product teams to create cohesive strategies to engage readers and drive membership programmes. In addition, as a member of the Google News Initiative India Training Network, I've conducted several workshops on how to combat fake news and disinformation. I've been also part of several panels – where the conversations have ranged from the pressing need for media literacy and fact-checks to innovative storytelling techniques – and the importance of independent media.
