Claim your profileI am an entrepreneur, an award-winning science communicator and a neuroscientist. Driven by a lack of centralized mental health resources for students, I co-founded Resolvve Inc. At Resolvve, we work to provide centralized mental health services for high school and University students. This includes therapy, academic strategies and career counselling. I submitted my MSc at the APC Microbiome Ireland at University College Cork in the Anatomy and Neuroscience Department. Using a combination of primary cell culture and sequencing techniques, I worked to understand how the trillions of bacteria in the gut affect the brain. Specifically, I looked at microbial Metabolites across human microbiome studies. I also worked with cell culture, looking at the effect of microbial metabolites on astrocyte gene expression. with microbial metabolites. In 2020, I became the Ireland FameLab Champion. FameLab is run by the British Council, giving early career researchers an opportunity to present a compelling science story in just three minutes. I learned to engage with a general audience to grow enthusiasm about science. I am published in RTE Brainstorm, NeurotechX, The Startup, Massive Science and Biospace.
