Stefanie Schappert is an experienced multi-media journalist and news producer based in New York. Recently completed a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity. Mission accomplished: Combine my cybersecurity expertise with my broad range of communication and writing skills. Schappert has worked in all facets of broadcast news production, from local to international, both in and out of the control room, writing, editing, and producing. She has extensive experience working in a live and breaking news atmosphere. She has also been on location, covering stories behind the camera, as well as field producing and reporting. She was a freelance reporter for Gannett Newspapers, writing front page features for the Poughkeepsie Journal's weekend insert and weekday newspaper. Past employers have included Fios1 News, Fox News Channel and NY1 News. Her now-retired satirical op-ed column, Lipstick Conservative, was last published on TheBlaze.com. The column had been running on the The Clyde Fitch Report, a NYC arts & politics website, 2009 -2013. She has been a guest commentator who has appeared live, as well as on radio and TV. Before her transition into the news world, Schappert worked in Entertainment PR. In her spare time, she is a Les Mills Body Balance instructor and rescues senior dogs.
