Claim your profileI am a DC-based journalist who has covered a range of beats, including philanthropy, global development, food and drug safety and transportation policy. I spent close to a decade reporting from Capitol Hill. I have also written stories from my home state of Ohio, Brazil, Canada, Cuba and the U.S.-Mexico border. And I am an experienced moderator and public speaker.In addition to my professional work responsibilities, I have mentored early-career journalists. At Politico, I served on the diversity pipeline committee for two years. I continue to develop my own skills by attending professional conferences and seminars hosted by the International Center for Journalists, Investigative Reporters and Editors, Journalism & Women's Symposium, National Association of Black Journalists, National Press Club, and the Pulitzer Center.
