Claim your profileI am an Assistant Managing Editor at ProPublica, a nonprofit newsroom that produces investigative journalism in the public interest. With more than 15 years of experience as a reporter and editor, I bring a deep understanding of the skills, values, and challenges of the journalism profession to my current role. My mission is to recruit, hire, and develop diverse and talented journalists who can produce impactful stories that expose abuses of power and betrayals of the public trust. I also oversee the career development and retention of ProPublica's staff, ensuring that they have the opportunities, resources, and support to grow and thrive in their work. Previously, I was an investigative reporter covering environmental justice issues, and a finalist for the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service. I hold a master's degree in the study of law and a bachelor's degree in print journalism. I am passionate about advancing the cause of independent and rigorous journalism in the service of democracy.
