His other writing honors include a National Press Club Award, an Association of Food Journalists Award, the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism, and fellowships from the NEA and Guggenheim Foundation. As an editor, he has received six National Magazine Awards. Genoways is currently a senior editor at the Food & Environment Reporting Network and a fellow in the Watchdog Writers Group at the University of Missouri's Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute.
