Claim your profileTed Genoways is a two-time James Beard Award winner and the author of six books, including Tequila Wars: José Cuervo and the Bloody Struggle for the Spirit of Mexico (Norton, May 2025)—a New York Times Editors' Choice selection and one of Amazon's Best Books of 2025 So Far. His other writing honors include a National Press Club Award, an Association of Food Journalists Award, the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism, and fellowships from the NEA and Guggenheim Foundation. As an editor, he has received six National Magazine Awards. Genoways is currently a senior editor at the Food & Environment Reporting Network and a fellow in the Watchdog Writers Group at the University of Missouri's Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute.
