Claim your profileHi, I'm Temur Durrani. I’m a reporter for The Globe and Mail, Canada’s newspaper of record. I also host Better For It, a Globe business podcast about how our failures shape us.For two years, I was The Globe’s technology reporter, based in Toronto. Now, I cover Manitoba and the Prairies from our new national bureau that I opened up in Winnipeg. Before joining The Globe, I worked at BNN Bloomberg, where I reported investigative stories and business features for broadcast and digital audiences. Prior to that, I was a staff reporter at the Toronto Star, iPolitics (Ottawa), the Winnipeg Free Press and the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal.A juror since 2021 for the Dalton Camp Award, which grants young writers with a $10,000 prize for the best essay on the link between media and democracy, I frequently appear on live-audience, TV and radio panels to provide news analysis.I speak in at least six languages fluently or conversationally (guess which ones!), take my caffeinated beverages very seriously, and love a good meme.
