I’m the editor-in-chief of Tech in Asia, Southeast Asia’s leading tech business media, events, and jobs platform. I'm also the company's product lead for editorial AI, in which I set and realise our plan for using generative AI to augment the newsroom and serve readers. As the editor, I lead a newsroom of 20 that grew a subscription product to S$1.4m in yearly revenue. This product played a key role in Tech in Asia's buyout by SPH Media, one of Singapore's two largest media networks. The deal was a win for Tech in Asia's investors and employees despite a tech industry downturn. As product lead, I'm in charge of News by AI, a largely AI-written news and analysis format that has contributed to a quarter of the website's's 2.5 million monthly views, while costing only S$50,000 a year instead of S$1.2 million if fully human-written and edited. In my free time, I experiment with building web and mobile apps on AI coding tools like Replit, OpenAI Codex, and Cursor.
