As a military editor and Copperas Cove editor at Killeen Daily Herald, I produce two weekly publications that inform and engage readers on issues important to Fort Cavazos and Copperas Cove, such as city and school government, community events, veteran engagement, and more. I have been successfully handling multiple deadlines and demonstrating variety in stories covered since November 2023. I have more than four years of experience in online journalism, having worked as an intern and general assignments reporter at Killeen Daily Herald from May 2019 to July 2020. In July 2020, I transitioned to being the Copperas Cove editor. During this time, I gained valuable skills in AP writing, copy editing, public speaking, sports writing, photo and video editing, and website creation. I also have a BA in Mass Communication from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a BA in Political Science and Government from the University of Iowa. My passion is to tell stories that matter and make a difference in the world.
