Claim your profileI am the founder and publisher of the science imprint Quanta Books. Previously, I founded and served as the first editor-in-chief of Quanta Magazine, a Pulitzer Prize-winning, editorially-independent science news site published by the Simons Foundation. I’ve edited two books: “Alice and Bob Meet the Wall of Fire” and “The Prime Number Conspiracy” (MIT Press). I’ve been a science journalist at The New York Times, a board member on the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing, an adjunct lecturer at the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism, an editor at The Indianapolis Star, a grade-school teacher and a mechanical engineer.
