Claim your profileI'm a journalist who's covered the entertainment industry from every angle, business and creative. For more than a decade, I’ve been a regular contributor to the trades, first The Hollywood Reporter and now Variety, which I recently joined full-time as an editor. I’ve also written for a wide range of other publications, including the Los Angeles Times, the New York Post, American Cinematographer, Emmy, Filmmaker, and, yes, even the Weekly World News. I've done a wealth of celebrity and executive profiles, analysis of industry trends, and in-depth features on technology, finance and below the line talent (VFX, cinematography, costume design, production design, editing, etc.). I was one of the first to write extensively about the domestic production incentive race that has transformed the way Hollywood does business, and for more than a decade I've covered the streaming space, which has trurned it upside-down. I've also explored the logistical, artistic and legal benefits and challenges of emerging technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and, now, the most transformative of them all, AI.
