I have written more than 1,500 byline articles in my career as a reporter for The Newberg (Ore.) Graphic, where I have been employed since July 2012, and the Branson (Mo.) Tri-Lakes News. The vast majority of my stories have been self-assigned, which has helped me hone my news sense tremendously. In Branson, I was also responsible for photographs and a good share of photo editing, page layout and design, which gave me a wealth of experience.At the University of Maine, which I attended from September 2006 to May 2010, I founded a Christian student publication, Doulos Magazine, and served as editor in chief, design manager, staff writer and photographer for it for three years. I also gained excellent experience writing and editing during my time at The Maine Campus. After graduation, I was involved in a number of freelance editing projects before joining the staff of the Branson Tri-Lakes News.Specialties: News and opinion writing, investigative reporting, photography, layout and design, copy editing.
