Claim your profileI am the current sports reporter for The Sun Chronicle, based out of Attleboro, Massachusetts. Currently covering 10 high schools, two major professional sports teams and other local sporting events in the circulation area.Prior to joining The Sun in Feb. 2022, I was the sports editor for the New Britain Herald and Bristol Press, covering the greater New Britain and Bristol high school sports scene. We were also tasked with covering Central Connecticut State University.Before the Herald/Press I was a sports reporter with Shaw Media’s Creston News Advertiser, a newspaper for the southwestern Iowa region. I covered high school and collegiate sports in the area, as well as YMCA events and local club/recreation events. The newspaper is still a weekday only publication.I have prior experience with journalism, media relations, social media, public relations, and creative writing. I also participated in a journalism program that was offered through the school, where I spent a semester in Washington, D.C. where I studied journalism exclusively.Through Lasell College I was able to attend American University's 'Washington Semester Program. While in Washington I was able to cover events with The Georgetowner Newspaper - covering Team USA's 2016 Gold Medal Ceremony, the opening of the John R. Thompson Jr. Athletic Center, and Georgetown Hoyas Basketball. I also provided coverage for local real estate.While in Washington, D.C. I was given the resources to conduct interviews for my program - interviewing front office executives for the Washington Nationals, radio hosts for Sirius XM Radio, and members of MLB.com. These interviews can be seen in articles below.Aside from working in Washington, D.C. I have also worked briefly with Trifecta Network where I reported on local sports news. I was also a contracted writer with SB Nation's 'Crimson and Cream Machine' providing coverage for the Oklahoma Sooners college football team through its daily “Hot Links” articles. I also contributed to its softball and baseball coverage too.
