Born in Hershey, Pennsylvania, I grew up in Tampa and graduated from the University of South Florida. While going on to write for numerous media outlets nationwide, I first contributed to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune's weekly Ticket publication in 2003, became editor of Ticket in 2016 and was promoted to Gannett's Florida-Georgia Regional Dining and Entertainment Editor for the USA TODAY Network in 2022. I am skilled at interpreting and applying content analytics, planning, creating, assigning art, taking photos and/or video, writing and editing stories. I am also adept at AP Style, project management, social media management and search engine optimization.
