I am an Africa-focused political-risk analyst, urban strategist, and investigative journalist with over 15 years of experience decoding the intersections of power, governance, and infrastructure across Southern and East Africa. Currently, I serve as a Research Fellow at the Africa Centre for Critical Minerals and Energy Transition (ACCET). I founded BuiltAfrica, an initiative dedicated to parsing complex urban development trends, resource governance, and elite networks on the continent. My work bridges the gap between rigorous policy research and investigative grit, specialising in regional infrastructure governance, digital sovereignty, cross-border energy strategies, and electoral systems. As a regular commentator and public-interest journalist, my analytical insights are frequently featured in premier regional publications like the Daily Maverick and Mail and Guardian. My technical foundation includes a BSc (Honours) in Regional and Urban Planning from the University of Zimbabwe and an MSc in Construction Engineering Management from the University of East London.
