After spending years figuring out that writing the next great American novel just wasn't going to happen, I realized another passion: community journalism. It's no surprise that I discovered telling stories in journalism was much more rewarding than fiction, and sometimes much like fiction. After more than 16 years in community journalism, I get as excited today to see my stories in print and delighted when I scoop some of the other media competitors. But more than that I continue to be enthusiastic to record the history of my communities and to serve as a professional, non-biased, ethical journalist. My capabilities: photography, print journalism, digital journalism, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge, CMS systems (BLOX), social media, layout design and production, copyediting and proofreading and videography with my iPhone.
