Xuan decided to go back to her reporting roots as a senior writer and reporter for ESPN's investigative and enterprise unit, working on a wide range of stories for all platforms. Her stories have appeared on Sports Center, ESPN+, ESPN's social media platforms, ESPN.com, and more. Prior to that she led a team of over two dozen reporters, producers, and assignment editors covering all major news events from Texas and Oklahoma eastward for all of NBC News' platforms as the deputy bureau chief for the South Region. In that role, she worked with field teams and show producers, to create compelling content for all platforms, including Today Show, Nightly News, Telemundo, and MSNBC. Before joining NBC, Xuan was a political journalist, digital reporter, and field producer for CNN as part of the White House Press Corp under Presidents Bush and Obama. She also served as a Capitol Hill and political campaign reporter/producer.Committed to bringing new voices to viewers, she co-created an initiative at NBC called "NBC Next", which showcases a diverse range of experts as potential guests for MSNBC, NBC News, and digital platforms. That initiative was later replicated by multiple internal employee resource groups as a way to bring different voices to the platforms. Xuan produced the 2016 Presidential Townhall for the Asian American Journalist Association, which featured Bill Clinton.
