I manage a team of writers for the weekly Los Angeles Business Journal and the bimonthly Inside The Valley magazine. Daily tasks include helping writers shape their stories, editing their work and working on the pages for each issue. I also handle website uploads and daily newsletters for the publications. On top of all that, I like to write about a variety of topics when I can — law firms, accounting, insurance, the ports, beverages, sports teams and other oddities. I previously was a city editor at Outlook News Group, primarily overseeing the Glendale News-Press and the South Pasadena Review. I also contributed stories to the other publications — the San Marino Tribune, the La Cañada Flintridge Outlook Valley Sun, the Pasadena Outlook and the Burbank Leader. Prior to Southern California, my time in Louisiana includes an investigation into a school board member that ultimately resulted in his removal from office; a series chronicling the multiple investigations into the in-custody death of a local black man arrested by the local sheriff's department; and coverage of a mass shooting tragedy that killed two local women.
